THE SEVEN LEVELS OF CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW

There is so much confusion that exists within the Christian culture and even among people who witness a variety of Christians attempting to represent "God" or truth.

Many people just reject Christianity outright because of this confusion, while others just follow their Christian herd and assume they are right and everyone else is wrong.

I put this together to help clean up the confusion and distinguish the different levels of Christian consciousness.

Few people, even spiritual and religious leaders, are actually interested in pursuing TRUTH. They are more interested in being "right"... This defense posture prevents true revelation knowing.

I speak from lived experience.

I have had a direct, living encounter with the Reality we call Jesus Christ, with what people call heaven, and with the kingdom of God that Jesus said is within you. 25 years ago. I was not a believer or Christian at all...I was only seeking "absolute truth" after living a life of crime and drug dealing, eventually nearly dying from an overdose in 1999.

I have also spent over 25 years immersed in Christian church life and culture, while continuing to be open hearted and open minded enough to study other world religions with sincerity and respect. Through that journey, I have seen how much confusion exists, often created by literalism, fear, and inherited or blindly accepted assumptions rather than LIVED TRUTH.

Alongside this, I have been a diligent student of the Bible and it's ancient language for over twenty five years, not to defend doctrine, but to test whether the text truly reflected what I experienced in the year 2000.

WHAT I DISCOVERED WAS STRIKING.

When read symbolically and inwardly (which cannot be done cleanly via English interpretations that obscure about 85% of original language and nuance) the scriptures do not contradict direct experience, but confirms it.

The text accurately reflects the reality of God’s being, not as a distant place or future reward, but as a living presence that resides within us all, exactly as my experience revealed so many years ago.

My intention is not to persuade (I already know the rigid religious mind MUST defend its theology because it is still controlled by fear and will not be persuaded), but to clarify.

Not to dismantle faith, but to restore it to truth, depth, and lived reality.

LIFE IS NOT BLACK AND WHITE.

Human beings are not simply good or bad, right or wrong.

There are gradations of awareness and depth of perception.

Someone may identify as Christian and yet operate far from the substance of love, truth, and union that inspired Christianity in the first place.

What follows is not a judgment of people, but a description of states of consciousness that appear within the Christian story and experience.

People can move between levels over a lifetime, and sometimes occupy more than one at once.

Sadly...many will die and never attain the reality they think they already "know" in their lifetime...they will come face to face with REALITY upon death. Illusions will dissolve ultimately in the face of TRUTH.

This I declare as a witness...not from a mental conception or "belief". I have seen this fact, and so will we ALL.

Here are the 7 Levels Of The Christian Worldview as I see them.

LEVEL 1. FEAR-BASED RELIGIOUS EGO

Core posture:

Fear, control, punishment, separation

Personality traits:

Sees God as angry and distant

Threatens others with hell and punishment

Obsessed with sin, judgment, and exclusion

No felt forgiveness for self or others

Defends accusation against humanity rather than restoration

Spiritual lens:

God is against people

Humanity is fallen beyond repair

Fear is mistaken for holiness

This level unknowingly mirrors the satanic role in Scripture

The accuser of humanity.

• (Satanas, or "satan" and diabolos or "devil" from the Greek. Meaning false accuser, slanderer, and adversary, not a deity. Both were secular and common words describing characteristics, not a being.)

LEVEL 2. TRIBAL MORALISM

Core posture:

Us versus them righteousness

Personality traits:

Strong group identity

Moral superiority masked as faithfulness

Rules matter more than people

Compassion is conditional

Forgiveness exists in theory, not practice

Spiritual lens:

God loves our group more than others

Truth is owned, not embodied

Difference feels threatening

This level worships certainty over humility.

LEVEL 3. TRANSACTIONAL BELIEF

Core posture:

If I obey, God rewards me

Personality traits:

Faith as a spiritual contract

Blessing equals approval

Suffering equals failure

Prayer used to control outcomes

Love still mixed with fear

Spiritual lens:

God is a cosmic judge and accountant

Worth is earned, not inherent

This level is sincere, but still externally driven.

LEVEL 4. RELATIONAL CHRISTIANITY

Core posture:

God is loving and personal

Personality traits:

Emphasis on grace and forgiveness

Compassion begins to soften judgment

Jesus seen as loving Savior

Still relies on literal interpretations

Still divides saved and unsaved

Spiritual lens:

God loves me and my people

Others may still be outside

This level heals much fear, but has not yet transcended separation.

LEVEL 5. INNER TRANSFORMATION AWARENESS

Core posture:

The kingdom is within

Personality traits:

Scripture seen as a mirror of the inner life

Sin understood as distortion, not identity

Salvation understood as healing and awakening

Forgiveness becomes embodied

Ego begins to loosen

Spiritual lens:

Christ is not only believed in, but experienced within

Scripture describes states of consciousness

This level marks a major shift from belief to embodiment.

LEVEL 6. SYMBOLIC AND MYSTICAL INTEGRATION

Core posture:

Truth is larger than language

Personality traits:

Scripture understood symbolically, not literally

Sees harmony across spiritual traditions

Recognizes universal patterns of awakening

Religion becomes a doorway, not a boundary

Deep humility and curiosity

Spiritual lens:

God speaks through many forms

Christ consciousness is universal

Atonement is reconciling, not exclusive

This level no longer needs religious control structures.

LEVEL 7. UNITIVE COMMUNION

Core posture:

Oneness with God and all creation

Personality traits:

No need to defend beliefs

Radical compassion for all humanity

No enemy consciousness

Love flows without condition

Peace rooted in being, not doctrine

Spiritual lens:

God and self are not separate

Atonement is eternal and complete

All creation is reconciled in Christ

This level stands in rest, not striving.

It does not argue truth. It radiates it.

CLOSING REFLECTION

Christianity is not a fixed category.

It is a living spectrum of awareness.

The highest expression does not look more religious.

It looks more human. More loving. More free.

And the journey upward is not about becoming better than others.

It is about becoming whole.
